When In Doubt:

Brilliant solution for every problem in the country.

Blame Christians, women or USA-Israel for everything in Pakistan. Very effective.

  1. Sigh.
Little sister I am dying from the numbness – I think it’s mental hibernation from the awful truths. Something in my brain has finally snapped. I feel strangely disconnected and listless. I think the clinical term for it is depression. This country (my country) is making me sick.

    1. It’ll be too cliched to say “i knw wht u mean” ..

But thing is: its a guilty sorta state where u want to give a damn soo bad, but u cant coz, what u really desire, what really wud make u raise ur eye-brows at urself is finally doing sumthing with ur own hands and seeing it made a substantial differrence.

Pata nahin yar.. listlessness is the word, for it.

  2. God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?
—Nietzsche, The Gay Science, Section 125

I happened to be reading about this just before I came here. While irrelevant, it suits the sadness I feel for the country. Doesn’t hurt to explain the god he refers to here are the morals and ethics of the society and not the literal God.

  3. So true. Unfortunately this can’t be undone. Years of conditioning has made us oblivious and submissive … No revolution for us I’m afraid.

  4. Well if there are clues of some involvement id MOSAD, CIA or RAW, liberal fascists like you always refuse and even you people support them intentionally or unintentionally. Pro-US/West minds are never going be changed, I believe in cooperation with such powers for peaceful co-existence but never undermine the claim of Pakistan.

CIA funded-Pak backed Taliban’s faction TTP, if revolted against their masters and bent upon subversive activities then whom should be blamed? You are so naive, you’ll still support immunity for Raymond Davis though beggars can’t be choosers. This country is Fucked equally by liberal fascists and extremists.

      1. Mehreen think & write practically if you want to be a good journalist or writer. Did you investigate that there is no international involvement in Pakistan?

  5. I ALWAYS knew you were a liberal fascist, Mehreen!

I’ll never understand why everything has to be blamed on America and Israel. I mean, seriously, what the hell does Israel have to do with Pakistan!? They’ve got their own shit to worry about.

    Fascinating header, by the way.

    1. You are so simpleton, did Pakistan recognize Israel? of course no, that is the biggest problem for them. Only shit for Israel is Pakistan’s nuclear capability, latest update is that Pakistan is close to test ICBMs covering range of 7,000 KMs & the biggest shit is Pakistani support for Palestine. As a Pakistani when there is matter of infidels and jews I think as a military general not as a humanitarian, journalist or intellectual. This video is for you a biggest shit for Israel. > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7ekJ2_wCH4&feature=related

  6. @Raju:

You can’t take a doodle lightly, can you? It’s beginning to hurt you in the wrong places, I assume. I never said I’m verifying the presence of absence of “Israeli forces” conspiring against Pakistan. Calm down, kid. No one’s claiming journalist credentials here. It’s a doodle. Not the end of the world.

    1. You should have cleared that in the post script “just for fun” I don’t expect such comments with a reputed blogger, if they were serious.

  7. Oh, I see. But with all those missiles, Pakistan can be a threat to any number of states in the Middle East. And you choosing to think like a military general and not a humanitarian is your own personal decision. Nobody forced it upon you so don’t think that we have to think like you as well because we’re ‘Pakistani’.

Also, Pakistan not recognizing Israel is a pretty decent excuse for them to destabilize Pakistan, no? (If that really is what they’re doing) I say let ’em do what they will. Clearly we don’t understand why any community or nation would need a state of its own so why not? I mean, we’re not making Pakistan any better, are we?

    1. There is matter of integrity & survival, Pakistan has not recognized Jewish State and supports the cause of Palestine then what does it mean?

  8. Where is the integrity in not recognizing a state that’s come into existence as a result of a religious claim? Wasn’t Pakistan founded on a similar claim? Of course, that is not what this debate is about..

What this doodle is trying to point out is that in Pakistan most or all problems are blamed on international involvement regardless of what the facts are. Of course, all states in the world interfere with each other’s business and that’s the way of the world. They did it in the past and they’ll continue to do so. It’s all done in the name of self-preservation and ‘strategic depth’. America in Pakistan, Pakistan in Afghanistan, Pakistan in India, India in Pakistan. But not all problems arise from international involvement. I think Mehreen’s trying to say that we need to accept some of the responsibility ourselves as well instead of blaming it on everyone else.

Of course, if Israel and Pakistan were to go head-to-head, I don’t think Pakistan can compete with Bar Rafaeli no matter how many bombs we make. Do you?

  9. This ‘blogger’ must be a paid agent of Zionist Hindus who have sent here to make spicy beef kebabs and rubbery dood.
The world is out to get us and especially our tasty beef kebabs.

  10. Mehreen-ji, don’t sell yourself short in response to Raju. “Just a doodle,” perhaps, but more than an element of truth. Look at the “Americans support the TTP” comment, and you can see the heigths to which absurdity can climb. Ah yes, the vast conspiracy, which by the latest count – given its all-encompassing lust for control of just about everything – must include everyone on the planet *but* Raju.

Reminds me of the “Jang” article that ran during the initial invasion of Iraq, claiming that “atomic bombs were dropped on Baghdad.” When one news organization actually did a story following up on their claim, post-invasion, Jang’s response was “we stand by our story.” Yup, it seems if the story is critical of the U.S., it is accepted blindly. But boy those keen analytical minds – like Raju’s – sure click into gear if, God forbid, the U.S. does something right, or worse, the problem stems from the “analysts” themselves.

Whew, that felt good. Probably can skip a day of meds…
